The Department of Conservation and Natural Resource's Gallitzin Forest District is looking for individuals like you to provide skilled maintenance work on district roads, trails, and facilities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Your role is to assist in the maintenance of Gallitzin Forest District's grounds and facilities, while providing the public with efficient wildfire prevention and protection measures. Some responsibilities will involve performing routine semi-skilled tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment for visitors, as well as supporting park staff with basic customer service needs. This will include tasks such as housekeeping, maintenance, groundskeeping, and operating equipment. You may also be involved in checking and repairing landscaping equipment, making minor building repairs, assisting with tree removal, and painting or staining park structures. Additionally, you may be responsible for constructing or repairing wooden gates, bridges, and overseeing volunteer projects based on your performance and experience.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Seasonal full-time employment without benefits. The season runs from March through November. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Thursday, Friday off Weekends, holidays and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training. Condition of Employment: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
