Aerotek Quality Inspector in Winchester, Virginia

Aerotek is seeking Quality Inspectors in Sterling, VA for long term contract-to-permanent positions.

Description:

The Quality Inspector will perform receipt and evaluation inspections of complex components and assemblies using pre-set inspection plans. The Inspector will perform inspection of aircraft parts and certify the parts under FAA/EASA/TCCA Part 21 specifications before shipping them out to customers using a SAP software.

Review, analyze, and approve aerospace articles that have been maintained under FAA/EASA/TCCA regulations and/or received special certification processes. Issue Discrepancy Reports and Unserviceable Tags on non-conforming material. Monitor and follow up of storage conditions on all Spares material. Assist in the resolution of customer complaints concerning Proprietary Parts and Supplier quality problems.

Qualifications:

-5 - 7 years of aviation maintenance experience and knowledge of aircraft operations, systems and practices OR 5 - 7 years of manufacturing experience under one of the following: FAA FAR Part 21, EASA Part 21G TCCA Part 21.

-Familiarity with aircraft or aerospace quality control

-Experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools

-A&P license or military maintenance certification (9120) preferred

-Valid passport and drivers license

-Computer skills (SAP software)

-Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
