Refrigeration Technician
Job Description
As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the refrigeration systems within a food manufacturing facility. Your primary duty will be to ensure that all refrigeration units are operational throughout the plant. You will also be required to move between the main facility and the distribution center across the street as needed. This position operates on a 2-2-3 schedule from 6 pm to 6 am, providing 15 days off per month, including a three-day weekend every other week.
Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot refrigeration systems within the plant.
Ensure all refrigeration units are operational and up to standard.
Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration, HVAC, and boiler systems.
Transfer between the main facility and the distribution center as required.
Install and maintain HVAC equipment.
Handle refrigerants and ensure compliance with EPA regulations.
Work on ammonia refrigeration systems and pneumatics.
Essential Skills
Experience with refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of industrial refrigeration equipment.
Experience with refrigerants and HVAC equipment.
Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures.
Experience with boiler systems and pneumatics.
Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Certifications such as CERO, CARO, and LLAR are a plus.
Experience with steam and chiller systems.
EPA License.
