Adecco is looking for process technicians on all shifts in partnership with a plastics company in Wilton NH. This is an opportunity to join a growing company with a great team. The pay rate is depending on experience.Process Technician Duties:

  • Working from blue prints, drawings, visual diagrams and/or verbal instructions, the Plastics Technician performs a variety of tasks to support production operations and the repair or design of new molds or tools.

  • Tasks require some blue print reading experience and hands-on problem solving skills. After tools or molds are completed, they must be sampled and reviewed for changes needed to perform well in production.

  • These sampling and review tasks pertain to both new, revised and transfer tools scheduled for production within our company or other companies.

  • If problems occur during production runs with these molds, the Plastics Technician helps in trouble-shooting problems until they are corrected and the production run is completed.

  • If other changes are needed for a better production run next time, the technician assists in having changes made in coordination with the Production Manager and Tool Room Manager.

    The technician assists set up personnel in establishing safe and shorter set up procedures and in the documentation of the procedures. The technician performs set-ups as needed or directed by Production Manager. The technician monitors the placement of these written set-up procedures in locations accessible to all personnel. If changes are made to the written procedure, the technician is responsible for replacing the old procedure with the updated copy. The technician assists mold machine operators in maintaining a smooth and safe operation at the injection machine. Operating procedures for each machine are written by the technician and posted at the machine for easy access by the operator during the production run. The Plastics technician assists Lead Persons in providing training to operators and to help out in any way that will improve production and will make all operations in the company easier, safer and more productive. Other duties include maintaining written procedures for the mold storage area such as proper ways of cleaning and spraying of mold for better performance on following production runs as well as maintaining them from damage such as knock out safeties or slide and insert damage. The Plastics Technician also assists in the writing of safety procedures including the wearing of personal protective equipment for lifting and fork truck driving courses for movement of larger molds. The technician should be involved in developing written procedures for cavity change over or shut off of cavities for the scheduled production runs. Knowledge & Experience:Ability to speak, read and understand English. Requires a minimum of 7 years injection molding experience and a demonstrated ability to perform technician-level tasks. The Plastics Technician must be familiar with all types of materials used in the production process as well as knowledge about the handling these materials. The Plastics Technician must consistently demonstrate safe working habits and help to ensure safety in our workplace.
