This position is a part of the Atlas Graduate Program. Through this program, you will receive 12 months of technical and non-technical training, mentorship from Siemens EDA executives and world-class engineers, and learn what it is like to work as part of a company that is solving software challenges in the area of electronic design automation.

You will join the Tessent Embedded Analytics team. Our products consist of on-chip circuitry (embedded instrument) and software that are used by leading chip or integrated circuit (IC) companies. These customers use our products to improve silicon validation, debug, and performance, so that they can bring better and more advanced ICs to market faster.

This team is part of the Tessent division, a market and technology leader of electronic design automation (EDA) software products and on-chip instrumentation for semiconductor design-for-test (DFT), yield analysis, silicon validation, and silicon lifecycle management (SLM).

Responsibilities:

• You will contribute to the continuous development and improvement of the Tessent Embedded Analytics solutions.

• You will provide technical feedback to the marketing and development team.

• Use data exchange methodologies to facilitate effective data sharing between systems or applications that span across engineering disciplines.

• Develop testcases to demonstrate usage or issues of our products and technology.

• Provide technical guidance to customer-facing engineers in the application of design techniques and system procedures

• You will collaborate with a world-wide group of quality assurance, technical publications, marketing, field applications, and customer support to deliver high-quality products on schedule, and participate in planning, scheduling and estimation of tasks.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline

• Understanding of logic design (ASIC, FPGA, semiconductor)

• Some experience with a s scripting language like Python, Tcl, JavaScript, Perl, etc.)

• Experience working in a Linux environment

• Strong desire to create high quality solutions (i.e. peer review code, develop testcases, update documentation, write basic scripts to work around issues).

• Self-motivated and able to work constructively and productively on a team, as well as independently, is essential

• Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Familiarity with Verilog / SystemVerilog / VHDL

• Knowledge of software quality assurance processes

• Knowledge of the RISC-V instruction set architecture

• Exposure to embedded software development

• Familiarity with digital design implementation and/or verification tools from Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens EDA (Mentor Graphics), Xilinx or Intel (Altera).

• Exhibit a customer-oriented attitude and be able to work effectively in a world-wide, multi-site development environment.

• Possess a positive, can-do demeanor and capable of balancing multiple projects effectively and simultaneously.

The hourly range for this position is $54.32 to $59.13 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
