The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), individual contributor, will have responsibility for the execution of HR processes and activities to support designated customer groups within the Commercial Avionics organization. The HRBP will collaborate with the business as an advisor and architect on topics including organizational effectiveness, change and talent management, organizational learning and development, performance management, DE&I and total rewards. Additionally, through partnership with other HR Leaders, Business Partners and COEs, this position will provide leadership and support in the execution of strategic HR initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning, employee engagement, employee relations and talent development.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategically Posture the Business: Focus and broker solutions to business problems and implement proactive strategies pertaining to workforce development, talent management, and diversity & inclusion strategic initiatives that directly influence business key performance metrics

  • Train & Develop Talent: You will identify training and development needs within the organization and design initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities. You will coordinate with managers to ensure employees have access to relevant learning opportunities. Develop strategies to include workforce planning, succession planning, knowledge transfer and high potential development.

  • Collaborate & Influence Change: You will lead and support organizational change initiatives, including organizational restructures, process improvements and partner with stakeholders to minimize disruption and facilitate smooth transitions. The HRBP will collaborate across functional groups within the matrixed organization and work in tandem to with leaders to drive the business.

  • Analyze the Business: You will utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, measure HR effectiveness and inform decision-making. Additionally, you will generate reports and insights to support business leaders in understanding workforce dynamics and making informed business decisions regarding people.

  • Travel 5%

What You Will Learn:

  • Exposure to every aspect of the business at all levels in support of Fire Protection Systems portfolio, driving the continued growth of the business.

  • Skills required to successfully communicate in highly matrixed organization – effective communication, ability to coach and develop senior leaders through influence

  • Project management skills like organization, time management, and continuous improvement

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically, requires a University degree and minimum 5 years of experience or an advanced degree and 3 years of experience, or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

  • Experience in one or more HR fundamental areas (ie. talent acquisition, compensation/benefits, performance development, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, organizational change, learning and development, and org. effectiveness).

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • This position is located in Wilson, NC; candidate must be local or willing to relocate on their own.

  • Experience in a matrixed, manufacturing environment

  • Experience in project management, change management and continuous improvement

  • Experience coaching and developing leaders while communicating effectively through all levels

  • HR Certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
