Description
Financial Services company located in the Wilmington Delaware area is looking to hire a thorough Staff Accountant with banking/financial services expertise. The responsibilities for this Staff Accountant role consist of handling general accounting operations such as: assisting with accounts payable/receivable activities, reconciling credit card transactions, processing ACH transactions, verifying wire transactions, processing cash receipts, maintaining the general ledger, research accounting data, coordinating annual audit and compliance, tracking and recording credit card transactions, and the month end close process. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, excellent time-management and strong budgeting/forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation.
Everyday Responsibilities
· Support daily accounting functions
· Month End/Year End Close
· Prepare accounting reports
· Process charge offs
· Maintain balance sheet accounts
· Assisting with daily ACH transactions
· Monitor account accruals
· Process accounting adjustments
· IRA Administration
· Spreadsheet Maintenance
· Ad hoc special projects as requested
Requirements
The ideal Staff Accountant will preferably have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:
· 1+ years of accounting experience
· Banking/Financial services industry experience a huge plus
· AP experience a plus
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
