STURDY CORPORATION Test Technician in Wilmington, North Carolina

**[SUMMARY [Perform the day-to-day operation of the Reliability and Stress Lab, to include product testing and recording of data per the test instructions developed and directed by Quality and/or Engineering. Maintain the lab equipment to include equipment calibration and basic troubleshooting.

[SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES [Support manufacturing, engineering, and quality through testing of product and materials to ensure they meet production and performance requirements.   • Follow, perform, and record product test results per the test instruction requirements developed and directed by Quality and/or Engineering
  • Identify and report any problems or inconsistencies with the test plans, equipment, and/or product testing.
  • Set-up, adjust, operate, and maintain the Reliability and Stress Lab equipment and instrumentation, such as; environmental chambers, vibration tables, accelerometers, salt fog tank, chart recorders, fixtures, test boxes and other test related equipment.
  • Identify and assist in the development of basis fixtures, measuring devices, tools, and equipment required to accurately test and record data per the product test requirements
  • Provide written reports on product testing and lab operations
  • Support and participate in product quality and process improvement initiatives
  • Perform equipment calibration on the Reliability and Stress Lab equipment as required
  • Interact with other company personnel to discuss and implement product testing requirements, and review of the test results
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
