Group/Division Summary:

The Proposal Manager, Sales Operations and Proposals is a solution provider to Cell and Gene Therapy customers through our Viral Vector Services (VVS) and Advanced Therapies Services (ATx).

How will you make an impact?

This position will have the opportunity to support our clients as they cure genetic, rare, and otherwise untreatable diseases through our leading and innovative Cell, Gene Therapy and Advanced Modalities businesses.

Position Summary:

This position is a part of the Global Proposal Team (10+) that generate new business work statements, business expansions and change orders for VVS and ATx businesses. The role will also participate in the maintenance and innovation of the team’s supporting systems, tools, and resources across three global businesses: mRNA manufacturing services, Cell Therapy manufacturing services and Viral Vector manufacturing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate Proposals, Work Statements, and Change of Scopes for new and current client programs. Ensures accuracy of these documents, including resource estimates, scope, pricing, and future revisions.

  • Participate in close working relationships with Business Development, Technical Program Design, Business Management, Program Management, Finance and Operational leadership teams.

  • Ability to function successfully in a matrixed organization with high agility to navigate between technical requirements and operational limitations.

  • Conducts themselves in a pragmatic, proactive manner with a level of autonomy guided by goals and objectives for ATx/VVS Commercial Operations.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an attention to detail.

  • Ability to interact with clients to communicate our approach to meeting their goals.

  • Availability to travel up to 10-15% of the time.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific subject area a must.

Experience

  • Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and an advanced degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years of proven experience, preferably in the CDMO space. Experience in sterile drug product manufacturing is a plus.

  • 3 years of proposal writing experience.

  • Familiarity in Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Previous experience with services budgeting and forecasting.

  • Proficient in MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word as well as Salesforce.com and Smartsheet database.
