Novant Health Pharmacy Technician II - Hospital at Home Unit - Days in Wilmington, North Carolina
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team and primarily support the Hospital at Home unit. This is a non-remote position, and pharmacy services for the Hospital at Home program are provided at the NH|NHRMC main campus. The role will also include central pharmacy dispensing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Hospital at Home unit by providing pharmacy services.
Perform central pharmacy dispensing duties, including:
Carousel operations
Triage responsibilities
Pyxis system management
Ensure proper medication management and accurate dispensing.
Be available for weekend shifts as part of the rotation.
Primarily work day shift hours.
Requirements:
Weekend availability required.
Must be able to perform duties on-site at the NH|NHRMC main campus.

Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
Experience (required): One year relevant experience, preferred. If Associate's Degree in Pharm Tech, experience is included in schooling.
Licensure/Certification (required):
Current registry with applicable State Board(s) of pharmacy.
PTCB or NHA Certification within 60 days of hire, or proof of enrollment in pharmacy school/FPEGG/FPGEC.
Additional Skills Required:
State Registration and/or evidence of renewal is required for both Pharmacists and Technicians fifteen days prior to expiration and Technicians are required to be either certified through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or be actively enrolled in pharmacy school, or be active in Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE) or Foreign Pharmacy Equivalency Certification (FPGEC).
- Considerable knowledge and application of basic math skills, including ratio and proportion relationships; strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Basic technology skills. Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team.
Additional Skills Preferred: Considerable knowledge of medication names (both trade and generic) and their doses, routes of administration, and adverse effects; the ability to demonstrate patient interview skills and strong written and communication skills with other healthcare professionals.
