Aerotek Linen Technician in Wilmington, North Carolina

Aerotek is hiring for Linen Technicians inside a hospital

Wilmington, NC

1st & 3rd shift available

Job Description

As a Linen Technician, you will be responsible for pushing carts of soiled linens from patient rooms throughout the hospital. This role requires comfort with handling dirty/soiled linens and involves a significant amount of physical activity, including walking 3-4 miles per day around the hospital while pushing carts. Candidates with experience in linen tech, stocking, or loading/unloading are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Push carts of soiled linens from patient rooms throughout the hospital.

  • Handle dirty/soiled linens.

  • Walk 3-4 miles per day around the hospital while pushing carts.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in janitorial, cleaning, environmental service, sorting, and custodial duties.

  • Basic math counting skills.

  • Experience with RF scanning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Candidates must be physically capable of pushing a cart up to 100 pounds and walking 15,000-20,000 steps per shift.

  • RF Scanner Experience preferred.

  • Understanding of Pick/Order sheets.

Work Environment

This position is based in a climate-controlled hospital environment. The dress code includes wearing khakis and a blue collared shirt, with no facial jewelry, long nails, perfume, or lotion allowed due to frequent sanitizing. Clothing must not have vulgar, profane, or offensive writing or graphics. Closed-toed shoes, such as tennis shoes, are mandatory. Clean room protocols must be followed at all times.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00
