About our Medicine IV Unit:

We'reseekingcompassionate andpatientcaredrivenLPNs to join our Med Surg team! Our unitcomprises41 beds;we have a patient ratio averaging 5-6 :1 it is our goal with our new team model, where every patient is assigned an RN, LPN and CNA it is our goal for the ratio then be 10:2.Given the high modality of the cases we handle, our nursing team thrives ongreat communication, ongoing team support and training within the workplace. Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or greater.

  • Current valid North Carolinapracticalnursing license required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Associationrequired.

Responsibilities

  • Competently provides direct patient care under the supervision of the RN based onappropriate nursingstandards,policiesand procedures per ANA Standards and the NCBON.

  • Provides reinforcement ofappropriateand pertinent patient education to the patient/family according to the Plan of Care tofacilitateoptimalpatient function,independenceand health.

  • Effectively and appropriately delegates specific patient care duties to non-licensed members of the nursing team to assureoptimalpatient outcomes.

  • Appropriately communicates informationin accordance withhospital policies and procedures.

  • Ensures that patients are admitted,transferredanddischarged ina timelyandefficient manner.
