Aerotek Avionics Technician in Wilmington, North Carolina

Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description

The Avionics Technician will primarily work in hangars supporting corporate aircraft. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, upgrades, installations, and repairs of avionics equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting of avionics equipment and systems.

  • Conduct upgrades and installations of avionics systems.

  • Build and install electrical harnesses.

  • Test and repair avionics systems including Garmin, Avidyne, and Aspen PS Engineering.

  • Interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints for aircraft modifications.

  • Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and aviation standards.

  • Work on corporate aircraft and execute necessary avionics repairs.

  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.

Essential Skills

  • 2-5 years of corporate/general aviation avionics troubleshooting experience.

  • Proficiency in Garmin avionics systems.

  • Experience with avionics installation and electrical harness building.

  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Avidyne and Aspen PS Engineering systems.

  • Familiarity with FCC regulations pertaining to avionics systems.

  • Strong understanding of aviation electronics and wiring.

  • Ability to work in high, precarious places and outside weather conditions.

  • Experience with corporate aircraft and aviation electronics.

Work Environment

The work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat and cold, high precarious places, outside weather conditions, and vibration. Employees may also be exposed to chemicals including aviation fuels and oils. The noise level is typically loud, requiring proper safety measures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $79040.00 - $83200.00
