JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer in Wilmington, Delaware


Duties: Provide high-quality technical solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. Adhere to IT Control Policies and coding standards throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specification. Participate in application design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide technical guidance to scrum teams. Participate in architecture review sessions with project teams, business stakeholders and design authorities to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. Document the detailed application design, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules. Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues. Provide second level support for application development issue resolution.


Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study (the employer will accept a 3-year or 4-year Bachelor's Degree) plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or seven (7) years of experience as Software Developer, Technical Specialist/Consultant/Lead, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience in the following: building and supporting ETL applications; datawarehousing; Java; Spark; Kafka; Big Data technologies; Data Pipeline architecture patterns; NoSQL databases; MPP databases; RDBMS databases; Unix scripting; testing automation; and, data pipeline orchestration and automation.Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
