Marcus by Goldman Sachs is looking for a Digital Analytics Manager to join the Marketing Strategy and Analytics team within our consumer banking division.
The ideal candidate is an analytics leader with data-driven mindset and experiences in digital marketing platforms (Display, SEM/SEO, Affiliate, etc.), data analysis, experimental design and measurement, preferably in the consumer finance and lending business. You are a good team player who can generate actionable business insights and influence business partners and leaders to drive growth with data-driven strategy.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Target Audience Strategy: Conduct analysis to identify the most effective marketing target for digital channels using both digital behavioral data as well as offline credit bureau data
Ad Effectiveness Measurement: Own the measurement plan across digital marketing channels, including partnering with tech team to identify and close data gaps, channel-specific measurement, and driving multi-channel attribution work forward with decision science.
New Data Evaluation: Evaluate new digital and social data source and vendors by conducting back-test analysis, business sizing and creating business use case for new data
Test & Learn: Design and implement digital media testing plan through partnership with the acquisition team, analyze test results and provide recommendations for future business improvement.
Performance Reporting & Insights: Manage weekly digital marketing effectiveness reporting dashboard and lead the performance discussions with senior leaders in the cross-functional team
5-10 years of experience in business and marketing analytics
Hands-on experience with digital marketing, segmentation, experimental design and statistical testing
Experience working with large data sets and Big Data tools and stack (e.g., SQL, Hadoop, etc.).
Experience with one or more statistical analysis tools (e.g. R, Matlab, SAS, etc.)
Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership of and accountability for projects
BS in quantitative areas like Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines with relevant industry experience
Strong project management and communication skills
Advanced degree (Masters/PhD) in quantitative areas like Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines
Experience in consumer finance or lending business is strongly preferred.
Experience working in a start-up business or a new business line within a larger organization is preferred.
