Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Wilmette, Illinois
Description We are looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Wilmette, Illinois. In this role, you will provide technical assistance to users, maintain system security and performance, install equipment, and research new technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance and consultation to users, helping them navigate and use software, operating systems, and other technology effectively
• Ensure the security and performance of our systems through troubleshooting and upgrading servers, maintaining records, and performing network maintenance
• Coordinate the installation of various equipment including iPads, printers, and computers
• Plan and implement information technology products, such as databases or programs
• Research and evaluate hardware and software technologies, recommending solutions that best fit our needs
• Monitor new technologies and the operation and security of networks
• Serve as the main Administrator for JAMF Pro for device imaging and updates
• Prepare all student devices for deployment over the summer
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware/software for students and staff, serving as liaison with Apple for hardware repairs
• Assist with beginning and end of the year laptop/technology distribution/collection
• Manage iPads, maintain printers/copiers, and order supplies as needed
• Assist with Tech Department goals, provide training for office and professional staff as needed, and keep technology equipment organized and accounted for in storage. Requirements • Proficiency in Android Development is essential.
• Must have experience with Cisco Technologies and Citrix Technologies.
• Knowledge of Computer Hardware and Dell Technologies is required.
• Candidates should be familiar with Active Directory.
• Experience with Apple Devices and Backup Technologies is necessary.
• Configuration Management skills are highly valued.
• Proficiency with Jamf Pro is preferred.
• Familiarity with Apple iOS and Google Apps is required.
• Networking skills are necessary.
