POSITION DESCRIPTION:Food service Manager position available for the Summer Program. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Manages daily school food service operations
Supervises duties of cafe worker ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures and regulations.
Follows established guidelines, procedures, standards and regulations of the District, the National School Lunch/Breakfast Program and Department of Public Health.
Procures foods and related supplies and maintains inventory
Assists in the preparation and service of food. Preparing, cooking, serving and accounting for nutritious meals to students and staff.
Checks the quality and temperature of prepared foods before service.
Is familiar with food service computer functions.
Operates a variety of kitchen and office equipment
Communicates effectively in both verbal and written form.
Follows all HACCP Plan mandates including completing checklists and following standard operating procedures.
Performs related work as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required.
One (2) year experience in Food Service required in either a school setting, high volume restaurant or institutional setting
ServSafe preferred
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
