Please note that salary ranges are calculated based off levels of: relevant experience, education and certifications.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Maintain safety and integrity of product and samples during processing, storage and shipment release in accordance with CompanyDCOPs.
Must be able to perform plasma and sample processing according to cGMPs, customer specifications, State and Federal regulations and Companypolicies.
Knowledge and performance of sample centrifugation, label control, completion andinspection.
Classification and documentation of product according to donorprograms.
Provide support for casing, staging, quarantine and QA release of all products.
Asassigned,performqualitycontrolonvariouslaboratoryequipment(e.g.freezer/refrigerator temperatures,refractometer,HGT,weightscalesorotherequipment).
Manage product packing, and inventory within freezers for maximum efficiency. Control disposition of unsuitable product with concurrent documentation.
Prepare product shipment andverification.
Receive, inventory and maintain storage area for incomingsupplies.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS :
High school diploma orequivalent.
Available to work flexible and/or extendedshifts.
Occupational exposure to blood-bornepathogens.
Demonstrated basic knowledge of computer equipment and software (NextGen withtraining).
Demonstrated accuracy in completingdocumentation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Abilitytositorstandforextended periods of time.
The employee is required to enter an environment with a temperature of -30°C for short periods oftime.
Abilitytotug,lift,andpulluptofifty(50)pounds.
Be able to bend, stoop orkneel.
Cold tolerance in storage freezers and adaptation to wide change of temperatures in handling samples andproduct.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools orcontrols.
