Job Description:

The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor provides technical direction, leadership, and supervision while serving as a role model to all pharmacy technicians within the pharmacy department. The supervisor coordinates training, assesses competencies, and manages performance of all pharmacy technicians. The supervisor assures other technicians deliver high quality service in a safe and reliable manner to ensure timely and accurate delivery of pharmacist approved medications. The supervisor assists the pharmacy manager in the overall supervision of medication distribution activities at the hospital and coordinates with pharmacists as required for technician related issues. The supervisor shall maintain competency in all pharmacy technician job assignments.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. BS in Healthcare field or business preferred. 3 years of pharmacy technician practice required. 3 years of experience in hospital/health-system pharmacy technician practice preferred. Certified Pharmacy Technician upon hire required. Registered Pharmacy Technician required within 6 months. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and experience in sterile compounding preferred.

Salary Range:

$45,102-$67,598 annually Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
