DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role will engage in a comprehensive one-year training program, collaborating closely with the water quality and watershed management department. During this period, you will familiarize themselves with and uphold the regulations set forth by the Commonwealth, carrying out investigations and survey tasks. Additionally, you will be trained on the correct protocols to follow when instances of non-compliance are identified, ensuring that facilities are brought back in line with the necessary standards.

The role will involve effectively communicating regulations, policies, and procedures to various stakeholders such as municipal authorities, the general public, and operators of facilities. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time until completion of probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Williamsport. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Most selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $ 44,010.00(before taxes). Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Four years of technical experience in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental health, geology, biology, ecology, or a closely related field;  or A bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental health, geology, biology, ecology, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement: This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
