Overview
External Job Title: Fitter
Internal Job Title: Assembly B
Job location: Williamsport, PA
Under supervision, installs a variety of package parts. May measure and inspect tubes using various precision measuring instruments. Basic math calculations are used to determine if tubes meet specification limits.
Responsibilities
Leak checks on various tubes to confirm tube is leak tight.
Installs various assemblies and parts on tubes using basic hand tools and fastening devices.
Performs potting operations on various tube types using RTV potting compounds along with potting fixture.
Basic soldering of wires, wire connectors on sub-assemblies.
Sandblast various tube types and assemblies.
Soldering and welding on various tube assemblies.
Carry out routine work assignments with minimum amount of supervision.
Maintain safe work practices (per Facility Safety Policies).
Maintain area in clean and orderly manner.
Qualifications
2 or more years related experience.
Good Manual dexterity
Able to read and follow detailed blueprints and drawings
Able to use precision measuring equipment
Experience in soldering and welding preferred
