Overview The Talent Recruiter is responsible for the overall talent acquisition function for the Grand Canyon Railway, Grand Hotel, and Grand Canyon Trading Post Tusayan properties including sourcing, engagement, and assists with learning & development functions. The position will assist the Talent Acquisitions Manager to ensure that all recruiting, staffing, retention, and L&D goals are executed in a timely and sustainable manner. Responsibilities Sourcing: Fully understands and supports Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values. Works with Talent Acquisitions Manager to develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies consistent with the Xanterra employer brand to meet business objectives. Markets to appropriate recruitment sites, maintain property career page and ATS system, as well as applicable social media sites. Coordinates with hospitality schools and organizations on events in relation to targeted hire. Assists in scheduling and attending job/career fairs as a source for generating qualified candidates. Generates Human Resources data reports as necessary to quantify recruiting efforts and progress. Collaborates to determine staffing needs. Assist employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures. Engagement: Assisting executing an engagement strategy by identifying the appropriate talent for open positions including phone screening, interviewing, and offer letter creation and delivery, and closing/offer acceptance. Partners with TAM and managers/supervisors in identifying talent needs and the candidate experience. Helps maintain staffing guide for respective properties. Interviews and/or collaborate with potential candidates and the appropriate hiring managers. Assists employees with internal transfers and/or promotions. Follows up on the interview process status. Maintains applicant flow, drug screen, orientation and transfer request logs. Assists to maintain application flow, drug screen, COVID requirements, and other hiring tasks are logged to ensure a quality employee on-boarding process Makes recommendations for improvement as needed. Maintains relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved. Learning & Development Assists the TAM in scheduling, materials preparation, development and facilitation of all programs according to standard. Supports, coordinates and implements training to ensure Xanterra Hospitality Standards are in place at each property. Collaborates with the SABA Corporate development team in developing, planning, and rolling out e-learning, training tracking, and other SABA related tasks. Assists with enforcing employee compliance in training is met. Successfully complete any training needed to instruct any training when TAM is unavailable. Position Management: Manages Applicant Tracking System (iCims) including creation and posting of requisitions and updating screening and disposition processes. Oversees the accounts/relationships with key business partners and vendors. Develops key metrics including time to fill, quality of hire and turnover. Monitors all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies and standards. Maintains confidentiality and security of employee and company records, files, and information. Maintains confidentiality in all Human Resources matters. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Knowledge of hospitality and tourism industry for market analysis. Advanced interpersonal skills a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey material in an understandable measurable manner to the seminar attendees. Possess or able to obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License, and comply with the Xanterra Park’s & Resorts Company Vehicle Policy. Intermediate to advanced computer skills. Preferred Qualifications: Recruiting or Human Resource experience with an emphasis on recruiting and employee relations. SABA, Cloud Suite, and Outlook experience a plus. Bi-lingual language skills (English/Spanish) a plus Basic Competencies: Verbal comprehension (understands oral and written communications follow detailed direction).
