What you would do as our Specification Business Development Manager

As our Specification Business Development Manager you will target and develop strong relationships with End User Clients, including Universities, NHS Trusts, as well as Architects and Interior Designers in London. As part of this exciting opportunity you focus on promoting all associated ASSA ABLOY group products to maximise specification opportunities, develop new client relationships and ensure that the loyalty of existing specifiers is continuously reinforced.

You would also:

  • Create relationships with all key architectural practices and associated specifiers in the defined geographic area, utilising initiatives such as CPD presentations to drive project involvement. To adopt a solution selling approach, identifying key project issues in order to support the development and demonstration of compelling customer propositions.

  • Focus on creating a ‘pull strategy’ by engaging with end user clients such as University Estates, NHS and Private Healthcare Providers and their internal design teams.

  • Deliver increased growth and specification pipeline including project conversion in line with budget and targets.

  • Provide market feedback and insight to enhance future decision making, and a comprehensive and accurate forecasting.

  • Log all activity and projects into CRM with regular updates and provide up to date monthly reports to the management.

    The skills and experience you need:

    We are looking for someone who:

  • Is Dip GAI Qualified, with Reg AI status if possible.

  • Is educated to at least A level with university education preferred

  • Has Experience with Architects in the London and Southeast with a track record of successful specifications delivered in the region.

  • Can demonstrate working to and exceeding key deliverables.

  • Has detailed knowledge of current construction procurement methods and routes to market.
