JOB SUMMARY

Are you looking for a fast paced, fun team of skilled technicians that make the best safety equipment in the PPE industry?

The primary responsibility of the Machine Operator Associate I is to safely operate and monitor all machine and equipment in the Syntex production area. Associate will be cross-trained to work on various machines in the production of yarn based on business and operational needs.

YOU WILL

  • Winding the required amount of raw material onto spools.

  • Keep spooler yarn and tracking tensioner parts clean

  • Maintain the stock count of spools with raw material.

  • Install yarn on a covering machine according to machine set up sheet.

  • Make any mechanical changes as directed by the machine set up sheet.

  • Check the machine to see if every component and part is installed correctly.

  • Walk machine rows regularly

  • Inspect each component, checking tracking yarn eyelets

  • If there is a problem, take yarn to waste station and pull of waste yarn.

  • Add corresponding recipes into winder computer

  • Place and thread yarn onto device as instructed.

  • Inspect all completed for wind quality.

  • Clean and keep aisle free of loose materials.

REQUIRED SKILLS FOR SUCCESS

  • High School Diploma or GED and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 1 to 3 months minimum in manufacturing environment

  • Ability to understand basic math to ensure accurate product quantities.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the entire shift from floor to over-head.

  • Ability to work in multi-temperature environments, hot or cool.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
