Kids Central, Inc. Quality Management Specialist - Child Welfare in Wildwood, Florida

VETERANS PREFERENCE

The Quality Management (QM) Specialist utilizes knowledge of the FL child welfare system, critical thinking/assessment skills and leadership experience, to effectively develop, manage and perform quality improvement activities, to support partners in improving quality of programs, services, and engagement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Quality Management Specialist will participate in:

  • Completing case record(s) reviews, including developing review tools, guides, compiling dataroll-ups/written summaries, communicating results, developing performance improvement plans. Performs other review(s), including complex/high-profile cases, writes comprehensive reports. Addressing immediate child safety/other concern(s).
  • Producing/collecting/analyzing/reconciling, data related to various activities and projects.
  • Development/management of quality improvement materials, projects, initiatives, and activities.
  • Collaboration withTraining/others, to develop/facilitate focused quality improvement activities, that provide resources, guidance, coaching, training, assistance to case management staff, internal and external partners, both, individuals, and groups. Present at meetings/training.
  • Establishing/maintaining positive partnerships/interactions, including with the Department of Children and Families (DCF)/Office of Quality Innovation (OQI), case management and others.
  • Conducting Automated Accountability Review and Response Tool (AARRT) reviews and/or focused reviews, using applicable technology. Participate in interrater reliability/other activities.
  • Performing case file and other performance quality improvement reviews/activities, in partnership with DCF, including dissemination to case management and follow-up. Managing immediate child safety actions required (ICSAR's), including case consultations/resolution/research activities.
  • Writing, updating, of policies/procedures, quarterly reports, annual schedules/plans, review tools, guides, comprehensive reports, PowerPoint presentations/others. Maintaining knowledge ofcontract measures and other goals. Partaking in activities to achieve goals.
  • Leading/managing assigned focus area(s), such as Council on Accreditation (COA) peer reviews and other QM activities/meetings. Participate in COA reaccreditation activities.
  • Utilizing organizational/flexibility/adaptability skills to manage changing priorities and activities, effectively and comfortably, assuring timely and qualitative completion of assignments.
  • Ongoing professional development through attending meetings, training, other. Attending mandatory events/meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in social/human services/sciences or related field. At least two years' child welfare experience (preferably case management). Child welfare supervisor, leadership, training, case management experience, preferred.

Licensure/Certifications

Certification in Child Welfare preferred. Be willing to achieve Quality Reviewing/Child Welfare, certification, if required.

Other Requirements

Must successfully clear Level II Background Screen

Must possess an acceptable driving record and have reliable transportation.

Bilingual (Spanish) encouraged.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • In-depth understanding of Florida's Child Welfare/Case Management System.
  • Demonstrate proven engagement skills, to navigate/manage team dynamics, and effectively support case management, mid and high-level partners.
