Abbott Diabetes Care in Germany is looking for Sales Managers (m/f/d) who will be responsible for sales and market share targets, KPIs as defined. They will be driving profitable growth in the assigned region North, South, West or East of Germany (in alignment with Area & National strategy and goals).

Major Accountabilities

  • Driving profitable growth in the assigned region.

  • Driving profitable revenue growth through volume, account and expense management, both through market share gain, market and account analysis.

  • Leading, developing and coaching a high performing team in generating business results.

  • Successful implementation of country product launches.

  • Developing and managing relationships with Key customers, accounts and opinion leaders.

  • Representing the business at key internal and external events.

  • Implementing successful change management transitions.

  • Monitoring, analyzing and reporting on competitors’ products and strategies, and recommending appropriate business response to the management.

  • Sales analysis within the assigned region.

  • Translation of strategy together with Head of Sales into sales tactics and successful execution within the assigned region.

  • Cost center management of regions according to plan and guidelines.

  • Perform all activities according to Abbott guidelines & policies.

  • Driving profitable revenue growth through volume, market share gain as well as account and cost management.

  • Project work with cross functional teams and cross-geography teams.

  • Selling Skills performance improvement within region (especially with regards to “closing skills”).

  • Guiding Sales Reps to more effective sales calls Open minded to innovative Sales approaches, selling concepts and new ways of Marketing & Sales.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to new & expanded customer groups

  • Creativity & curiosity in our Sales tactics to accelerate the new spirit of “FreeStyle Libre”

Qualification:

  • MBA or equivalent post graduate diploma or University degree and relevant job experience.

  • Experience in leading a high-performance team in Primary Care

  • Sales analysis and corresponding strategic sales approaches.

  • Forecasting experience and cost management.

  • Project work with cross functional teams and cross-geography teams.

  • Sales resp. Sales Management experience in a similar business

  • Ability to drive digital transformation within subordinates to leverage quickly the adoption of the digital health tools

  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects with a broader business scope to penetrate business segments even faster

  • Ability to motivate & support a high performing Sales team to achieve Sales Excellence.

  • Ability to establish a team culture of flexibility, desire to succeed and the will to be open for changes and out of the box thinking.

  • Open minded to innovative Sales approaches, selling concepts and new ways of Marketing & Sales.

  • Ability to adapt to new & expanded customer groups (i.e. DTC).

  • Creativity & curiosity in our Sales tactics to accelerate the new spirit of “FreeStyle Libre”

  • Fluent in German, good English skills

  • travel up to 80%
