Job Summary:
Recovery Unlimited is seeking a dedicatedLicensedAddiction Counselorto join our team who will primarily be conducting various types of assessments, group counseling, session notes, and treatment plans. The ideal candidate will provide treatment to individuals struggling with addiction and substance abuse disorders. As an Addiction Counselor, you will play a crucial role in helping patients overcome their dependencies and lead healthier lives.
Duties:
- Conduct assessments to determine clients\' needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address addiction issues\ - Implement behavioral therapy techniques to assist clients in modifying destructive behaviors
- Complete all documentation necessary using our cloud EMR\ - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care\ - Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations\ - Offer support and guidance to families of individuals undergoing addiction treatment\ - Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in addiction counseling
Skills:
- Proficiency in behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy
- Experience in providing patient care within a hospital or clinical setting
- Knowledge of social work principles and group therapy dynamics
- Ability to address co-occurring disorders such as PTSD with sensitivity and care
