Star Lumber & Supply Co., Inc.delivers confidence through our products and our people. The Wichita location is seeking anAssemblerto join our Door Mill and Manufacturing team.
The ideal candidate is a team player who is detail oriented and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. We are looking for an assembler who is ready to jump into daily manufacturing processes including; pulling and loading doors, working with hand and power tools, laying out and adjoining door components, and loading completed doors.
Responsibilities Include:
Stage door products for manufacturing.
Operate forklift and other automated equipment when necessary.
Load and unload materials on various door assembly equipment.
Correctly complete manufacturing documentation.
Follow all safety procedures and personal protection requirements.
Requirements
::: {bind="html: Job.Requirements"} Ability to use a tape measure and calculate basic math.
Prior experience operating a fork lift
Can lift 50lbs repetitively and 100 lbs. in a team lift.
Permanent authorization to work in the United States.
18 Years or older.
Reliable transportation.
Follow all PPE requirements.
Overtime as needed.
Preferred Experience
Knowledge of lumber and building materials.
Previous experience working in assembly or manufacturing.
