Spirit AeroSystems Defense - Program Control Analyst - 2 in Wichita, Kansas

Responsibilities

Location: Wichita, KS

Provides support to the PM, program teams, and Defense business leaders for all cost/schedule related support to meet the program SOW, schedule, and company fiscal objectives. Support includes the project Lifecyle of activities from support to proposal development, cost, structure, baseline budget, IMS integration to cost engine, EVM/performance, financial metrics, and contract close. Position objective is to support day-to-day program management support needs as a key business partner while maintaining independence from the program reporting structure to ensure SOX and other compliance requirements by rolling up through the Finance organization. Team responsibilities include:

  • Develops, integrates, analyzes and maintains the budget / schedule baseline for a program statement of work.

  • Supports all internal and external cost/schedule reporting and performance metrics, including cost schedule integration to support internal EAC’s and external reporting forecasts.

  • Runs the end-to-end financial systems data flow from ERP systems through EV cost engine and scheduling tools; ensures all financial data reconciles to ERP general ledger to ensure accuracy and auditability.

  • Works with program team on resources plans; generate internal EACs and external CDRL’s through resource and schedule planning activities.

  • Develops AOPs and LRPs through rollup of program resources, project forecasts, follow on and new business pipelines; ensures all program data is properly represented and auditable to support CAT 1-3 base forecasts.

  • Support from the program perspective the P&L, balance sheet, program cash, milestone tracking, billing, working capital, and inventory management.

  • Communicates with customers on routine cost, schedule and budgeting issues. Runs a variety of weekly / monthly reports to ensure accurate cost collection. Reconciles data discrepancies and corrects errors in cost charging for complex / multiple budgets / pools.

  • Receives Opportunities and Risk info from the RIO program team to support internal EAC’s and external customer reports.

  • Identifies issue and improvement opportunities and performs analysis for both the program managers and Defense controller.

  • Gathers, compiles and analyzes data in support of compliance internal process reviews and external regulatory requirements.

  • Assists with project startup by participating in planning and implementation activities.

  • Initiates detailed analysis in support of risk assessments and contingency / recovery plans, and makes recommendations to program teams

    Ability to prepare and analyze integrated program plans, schedules, and budgets; develop business case analyses, and perform financial analyses (e.g., funding profiles, labor and nonlabor forecasts, profit booking rates, EACs, variance analysis, etc.). Ability to decompose, analyze actual and performance data to develop accurate and timely forecasts and ensure integrated cost and schedule is controlled, accurate and supportable.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Must have or be able to obtain a secret DOD clearance Knowledge of EVM, and CAS/FAR principles a plus Knowledge of SAP a plus

Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or other related degree and at least 3 years' related work experience, a Master's degree and at least 1 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
