Avionics Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electrical systems. You will prepare aircraft for flight tests and airworthiness certification.
Responsibilities
Perform functional testing of avionics and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical systems.
Prepare aircraft for flight tests and airworthiness certification.
Diagnose problems and takes corrective action
Troubleshoots problems on defective units or wiring discrepancies.
Complete logs, discrepancies, and/or modification notices carried forward from previous areas of assembly
Transport aircraft to designated locations
Assist with performing avionics and electrical calibrations and functional tests, for example, communication, navigation, equipment, AC/DC power distribution, secondary flight controls, autopilot system, electrical portions of anti-ice systems, fuel quantity, fuel control system, climate control system, and pressurization system
Perform compass calibration and verification
Install test equipment on the aircraft for ground and/or in-flight troubleshooting
Essential Skills
2 years of avionics troubleshooting experience.
2 years of flight line or return to service experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00
