Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas. Operating as a nonprofit entity under the governance of the State of Texas, the Petitioner seeks to streamline organizational structures, eliminate duplicative administrative systems, and more effectively and efficiently deliver health and human services to residents of the State of Texas. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.Essential Job FunctionsPrescribe, direct, or administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Registrations, Licensure Requirements or CertificationsRequires Texas State Medical Licensure Applicant must have or be able to obtain a Texas medical license and be board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.Knowledge Skills AbilitiesPosition requires: M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school in the U.S. (or foreign equivalent and certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)); passage of all parts of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE); Texas State Medical Licensure; completion of four (4) year U.S. residency in Psychiatry; and one (1) year Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry.May provide telemedicine services based on patient and hospital needs and policy. Telecommuting available.Initial Screening CriteriaApplicants must hold an M.D. or D.O.At least three yearsand#146; experience working as a psychiatrist is preferred.Experience working with people with psychiatric disorders is preferred.Additional InformationApplicants must pass a fingerprint criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and registry checks including the Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System (CANRS), Nurse Aid, Medication Aide and Employee Misconduct, and HHS OIG list of Excluded Individuals/Entities.
