Job Title: Glazier Apprentice
Job Description
We are hiring entry-level candidates who are eager to start a career in the trade of glazing. As an apprentice glazier, you will assist journeyman-level glaziers with tasks including, but not limited to, the fabrication, installation, and glazing of storefront and curtain wall systems, layout and installation of heavy glass partitions, layout and installation of mirrors, and installation of perimeter caulking joints. Candidates must be able to read a tape measure, perform general laborer tasks, and possess a mechanical aptitude for performing mechanical hardware installations.
Responsibilities
Assist journeyman-level glaziers in various tasks.
Fabricate, install, and glaze storefront and curtain wall systems.
Layout and install heavy glass partitions.
Layout and install mirrors.
Install perimeter caulking joints.
Read a tape measure accurately.
Perform general laborer tasks.
Conduct mechanical installations of hardware.
Essential Skills
4-6 years of commercial glazing experience.
Experience with hand and power tools.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Familiarity with a commercial job site environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
At least 1-2 years of general construction experience.
Ability to perform mechanical installations.
Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
