Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in WHITEHALL, Michigan. As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and efficiency of financial operations within our team. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining comprehensive records, processing customer credit applications, and addressing customer inquiries. You will also monitor customer accounts and take necessary action.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the precise and efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Maintain detailed records of customer credit
• Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Prepare and book journal entries for various activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls
• Conduct internal control testing and documentation to maintain the integrity of financial data
• Execute balance sheet reconciliations accurately and efficiently
• Oversee metal receiving functions and maintain daily records for all metal receipts
• Participate in the preparation of annual budgets for departments by line item expense category
• Review monthly general ledger activity for inaccurate and invalid account usage and prepare adjusting journal entries to correct
• Support the preparation of Arconic's Self-Assessment Tool and maintain an ongoing working knowledge of procedures and policies related to inventory and cost accounting. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Financial Analyst.
• Proficiency in Month End Close procedures.
• Experience in generating and analyzing Inventory Reports.
• Ability to conduct Internal Control Reviews.
• Proficient in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation.
• Proficient in using Oracle software for financial management.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing Journal Entries.
• Understanding of Cost Accounting principles.
• Experience in analyzing and managing Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
