Frontier-Kemper, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a Lead Field Engineer to join our Kensico-Eastview Connection Tunnel Project in White Plains, New York.

Frontier-Kemper Constructors is the general contractor for the Kensico-Eastview Connection Tunnel Project. The scope of the approximately $1.1 billion contract entails the construction of a new deep rock tunnel between the Kensico Reservoir and the Catskill/Delaware Ultraviolet (CDUV) Light Disinfection Facility, both in Westchester County, New York. The new tunnel will provide an additional means of conveying water between the Kensico Reservoir and the CDUV Facility, enhancing operational resiliency and redundancy for New York City’s water supply system.

Description:

As a Lead Field Engineer at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage all aspects of the construction activities at one of the projects remote locations

  • Assist foremen and superintendents with site management, quality control, safety, and scheduling.

  • Prepare work plans, permits, method statements, and drawings outlining the works including equipment and,

  • organize equipment and material procurement.

  • Perform and oversee subcontractor activities and complete applicable Quality Control

  • Complete daily reports of completed activities and quality documents

  • Ensure construction activities are completed safely while maintaining required quality level and schedule constraints.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years in related underground construction or heavy civil experience

  • Experience involving rebar installation, concrete pumping, placement, and finishing,

  • Experience working with grout and use of admixtures,

  • Familiarity with tunneling equipment,

  • Experience supervising construction projects for a general contractor

  • Experience with hard rock main beam and/or slurry TBM’s preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, aso and AutoCAD.

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management or relatedfield

Expected salary range for this position is $130,000 – $180,000 depending upon experience
