Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary: As an Accounts Payable Specialist,

you’ll play a crucial role in managing an organization’s financial obligations to vendors and suppliers. Your responsibilities will include processing invoices, making payments, and maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing Accounts Payable: Using accounting software and other tools to handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.

  • SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Great Plains

  • Workflow Analysis: Analyzing workflow processes to improve efficiency.

  • Vendor Relationships: Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.

  • Timely Payments: Ensuring bills and payroll are paid accurately and on time, following departmental procedures.

  • Invoice Processing: Handling due invoices for payments.

  • Purchase Order Comparison: Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges.

  • Accounting Tasks: Processing transactions, maintaining accounts, recording entries, and reconciling books.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in an Accounts Payable Specialist role, performing tasks such as high-volume accounts payable, 3-way matching, coding, cutting checks, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and vendor management.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

  • Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies and address vendor inquiries.
