We are offering ab contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk at our retail location in WHITE PLAINS, New York. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our Cash Management team, with responsibilities ranging from processing customer transactions to maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer transactions and maintain up-to-date records.

• Handle cash balancing duties with a high level of precision.

• Perform data entry tasks to keep customer accounts updated.

• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner.

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account status.

• Assist in cash reconciliation activities, ensuring all transactions are accounted for.

• Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting team.

Requirements • A minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Proven work experience as an Accounting Clerk in a retail environment is desired.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Demonstrated skills in maintaining accurate cash balance is crucial.

• Exceptional data entry skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.

• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail is a must.

• Strong numerical skills for computing and recording numerical data.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

• Willingness to comply with all company, local, state, and federal accounting regulations.
