Description We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our team in the local government sector located in WHITE PLAINS, Maryland. This role is centered around providing excellent customer service in a medical office setting. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, responsible for answering phones, greeting customers, checking insurance, and updating patient information. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact for patients both over the phone and in person.
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to all patients.
• Check and verify patient insurance details.
• Update and maintain accurate patient information in our system.
• Perform data entry tasks to update records and patient information.
• Utilize medical software such as Allscripts, EHR SYSTEM, and Medisoft effectively.
• Apply proficiency in Microsoft Excel for creating charts and graphs.
• Assist with billing functions and clinical trial operations.
• Maintain an understanding of insurance-related matters.
• Utilize technology effectively to carry out tasks. Requirements • Proficient in medical software such as Allscripts, EHR SYSTEM, Medisoft, and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with billing functions within the medical industry
• Ability to create and interpret charts and graphs
• Knowledge and experience in chiropractic practices
• Familiarity with clinical trial operations
• Understanding of various insurance policies and procedures
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as computers, fax machines, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and others
• Willingness to continue learning and improving relevant skills
