Pine Tree Apple Orchard Farmworker in White Bear Lake, Minnesota

Need 10 full-time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers to work in White Bear Lake, MN and Preston, MN. From: 03/01/2024 to 12/15/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week; Mon.- Fri. 7 hrs./day, Sat. 5 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work hours are determined by crop and weather conditions. The workday may begin/end earlier or later on any given day and evening, night hours may be required. Workers may be requested to work additional hours, weekends, holidays, and the Sabbath depending on crop conditions and need. Work performed in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. JOB DESCRIPTION: Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest produce. Use hand tools, shovels, hoes, tampers, brooms, rakes, pruning shears, and ladders. Clean, pack, sort, slice, box, load and transport harvested products. Maintain trellis and fences. Participate in irrigation activities for all crops. Set up and operate, maintain equipment, vehicles, tractors, forklifts and tractor drawn machinery like spreaders, mowers, plows, cultivators, disks. Work with small engine equipment. Maintain buildings and grounds. Assist in the production of apple cider, peel, slice apples and other apple products. Food safety standards must be followed in all areas of employment. The worker may be asked to work on the Sabbath, under all types of weather, hot, cold, rain, and snow; workdays may vary. A 45-minute lunch break is offered. Crops: apples, strawberries, pumpkins JOB REQUIREMENTS: 3 months experience; able to lift 50 lbs. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
