Job Summary:

Your main objective will be: to deliver positive resident experience by ensuring House’s mission of “We will provide a safe, healthy and affordable home. Our diverse mountain community fosters individual growth through adventure”.

Job Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range: $23.00 - $30.00 / hour

  • Shift Type: Full Time, Year Round

  • Housing: May Be Available

General Duties:

  • Maintain the highest level of service and professionalism at all times in a busy environment. Provide friendly, helpful service to our residents.

  • Attend Daily Morning Meetings and provide input to a maintenance journal, to record ongoing tasks of the team.

  • Daily work orders that apply to residential units and other employee areas.

  • Daily rounds in all buildings to effectively inspect the condition of our buildings and keep them operating safely and efficiently

  • Follow up on Weekly and Monthly tasks to inspect and verify the working order of various types of mechanics in the buildings

  • A couple of shifts per week may be “on-call” shifts, responding to maintenance emergencies outside of working hours.

  • Assist other departments as needed.

  • Continually strive to improve our services and our ability to respond to resident requests.

  • Build and promote HOUSE through positive relations with residents, guests, external employees and neighbors as required.

  • Innovate around the resident experience by contributing, initiating and implementing new ideas in a team environment.

  • Always show up on time, in uniform, and adhere to the grooming policy!

Job Responsibilities:

  • To support the Maintenance Supervisor and other Maintenance workers when responding to residents maintenance requests.

  • Liaise with other HOUSE Leads, HA's and employees regularly to share information

  • Regular communication with the Front Desk of House

  • Regularly checking the work order tasks, and follow up to completion.

  • Carrying the “On Call” Phone and promptly answering the phone in case of emergency.

  • To be confident in responding to an emergency, and knowing who to contact in each type of scenario.

Job Qualifications:

  • Operating a vehicle is an essential function of this position and will require the applicant to meet the minimum requirements of the Whistler Blackcomb Driver’s Standards Policy

  • Be willing to attend training in all different types of emergency response scenarios.

  • This individual must have good attention to detail, be highly organized and possess a strong work ethic.

  • Passionate, connected and motivated

  • Strong computer skills with; MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel),

  • Strong communication skills are a must.

  • At least two years’ experience in general maintenance, including heating/hot water systems, building construction, basic plumbing and carpentry

  • Motivated to set and achieve year round learning objectives

  • Knowledge of Whistler/Blackcomb operations as asset

  • Proof of clear criminal record check
