Responsible for general supervision, develops ongoing professional relationships that help clients who are in or who are considering recovery from addiction to produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses, or organizations-While advancing their recovery from addiction while supporting YWCAs vision and mission. Responsible for implementing support to women and children from the Ohio valley following vision and mission of YWCA Wheeling of eliminating racism and empowering women. Job Duties Consult with and report any behavior or problems to program coordinators. Document any concerns regarding clients. Assist with service plans and case management. Referrals to outside agencies. Acts as liaison between clients and parole, probation, and recovery home, and attends court as necessary. Functions as a support person, when needed, by listening to residents concerns and problems. Educates clients and helps them explore resources for recovery or treatment, including relapse prevention plan and recovery community engagement. Attends treatment team meetings. Attends and participates in staff meetings. Complete all staff required trainings. Other Duties as assigned. Job Requirements: High school graduate or equivalency. Good communication and active listening skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows Must be self-motivated and work independently Must have valid drivers licenses and proof of current insurance Ability to express oneself orally and in writing so as to convey factual information to funders and community agencies Knowledge of health and safety precautions in group environments. Knowledge of behavior patterns of persons in recovery and with dual diagnosis. Understands 12-step recovery programs. Work Towards Peer Recovery Specialist Certification If in recovery, minimum of 2 year of continued sobriety. Experience in a related field preferred
