Workers will assist with two main tasks: to support the drilling of new farm irrigation wells, along with maintenance and repair of established farm irrigation wells. In preparation, workers will start each day at the farm shop loading necessary equipment and supplies onto their trucks for travel to predetermined farms in the local and surrounding counties. During the drilling aspect of this job workers will: travel to farmer\'s drill site, unload equipment, set up the drilling equipment, connect drill pipe while drilling is in progress, remove drill pipe, install well casing and disassemble drilling equipment. When working on irrigation well, maintenance\ and repair portion of job, the employees will: inspect gear heads and change their oil, check for pump vibration and cavitation, remove pipe and pumps from wells, transport and install irrigation pipes, pumps motors, and whatever else is mechanically required so that the farmer can get water to his/her crops. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or garm workers. Experience with water well drilling equipment, such as winches and pump hoists, heavy farm equipment such as backhoes and tractors, and hand tools, e.g. air wrenches, cutting torches and welders, is useful. Limited machine shop duties to repair motors and pumps\ and other equipment. Clear brush and weeds by mower, weed eater, or sling-blade to access all pumps and wells, as well as company owned property. Maintenance and repair of all company owned mechanical equipment. All tools, equipment and supplies will be provided by the employer at no cost.
