Job Overview
Bee Sweet Citrus, Inc. is looking to hire a Farm Supervisor to help run our Dates Farming operations. This position will report directly to the Farm Manager and will be involved in all aspects of our date farming operation. This position will ensure the overall date tree health while ensuring future success of the dates.
Responsibilities
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee and assist with managing 300 acres
Executes the assignment of duties such as the planting, cultivation, water management, and harvesting of crop to ensure productivity goals are met.
Provide daily/weekly updates on dates to Upper Management.
Oversee Farm Labor Contractors to ensure that adequate labor and quality is being provided and fulfilled.
Monitor tree health in regards to pest management, weed control, irrigation, and fertilizer planning.
Ensure all farming equipment is working efficiently
Examines objects, systems, or facilities and analyzes information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs
Reviews and processes work orders as needed
Skills & Other Technical Knowledge
Understanding of plant agronomy.
Knowledge of different types of soils, water, fertilizers and tree health.
Know how to communicate with team members.
Must be organized and hard working.
Must be able to drive and travel for the job; a clean driving record is a requirement.
Must be able to work long hours in extreme weather conditions, including nights.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Must have strong communications skills, both verbal and written
Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
