VCA West Suburban Veterinary Hospital located in Westmont, Illinois is seeking to add a Certified Veterinary Technician to our incredible team!

We are a full service medical facility offering general wellness, hospitalization, advanced surgical services including orthopedics, laparoscopy, dentistry, surgical laser, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, stem cell therapy as well as Exotic and Avian care.

We Care For:
We care for dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, birds, and other exotic pets.
Snapshot of the Role:
Our RCVTs provide compassionate veterinary care to our patients. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:
Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures.
Venipuncture and IVC placement
Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc.
Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team.
Recognize subtle change in clinical status.
Discharge instructions with clients when they are able to bring their furry family member back home with them.
Complete estimates, basic record keeping.
Surgical preparation and assisting.
Anesthesia monitoring.
Dentistry
