Maxar Space Systems is seeking a Financial Analyst to work within our Shared Services team. This role is based remotely in the US. This position will support the Sr Accounting/FP&A Manager in charge of the Shared Services organization that includes Accounts Payables, Payroll, Labor Compliance, and Costs Management.

Responsibilities: Analyze data to identify trends and encourage continuous improvement initiatives. Perform monthly variance analysis for disbursements, timekeeping, and other costs using this analysis to identify risk and opportunities. Research and make process improvement recommendations, creating process documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures for the Accounts Payable, Payroll & Labor compliance departments. Build knowledge of Maxar Space System's business, to become key financial business partner to Maxar Space System's organizations. Translate and interpret financial data into operational recommendations to improve and accelerate the business Support Maxar Space System's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) processes and monthly/quarterly financial cycles Provide ad hoc financial modeling and financial analysis Support special projects Collaborate with other departments to build KPI's to measure performance. Minimum Requirements: Must be a U.S citizen or permanent resident Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Four additional years of experience in finance/accounting may be substituted for a degree. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounting or Analytical role SAP experience Preferred Qualifications:
Superior analytical skills, combined with excellent business judgment and strong ability to clearly and concisely communicate with management level personnel Very strong skills with Excel and other MS office applications Active team player and works well under pressure Organized, detail oriented individual with ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy of information Integrity with confidential information Creativity in solving complex problems Ability to work independently in support of team objectives

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:$53,000.00 - $114,000.00 annually.
