The compensation range for an Engineering Operations Technical Director inColorado is $154,000- $256,000 annually, dependent on location,skills and experience.Please review the job details below.Maxar is currently seeking an Engineering Operations Technical Director withbroad engineering execution leadership experience to join our team. TheEngineering Operations Group is a newly formed group focused on crossfunctional engineering excellence reporting to the Maxar Space Chief Engineer.This role reports to the Senior Director of Engineering Operations and isresponsible for driving cross functional engineering improvement initiativesenabling successful, predictable program execution.Responsibilities:This role will create and implement cross functional improvement strategiesand initiatives that enable transition to a balanced matrix organizationstructure and are aligned with business needs. Targeted initiatives will focuson engineering tools & process, engineering professional development,and cross functional continuous improvement.The selected candidate will lead initiatives as assigned and have theopportunity to recommend new initiativesExamples of current initiatives include the following:Partner with the Sr. Director of Engineering Transformation to develop IPTLtraining and execution process trainingWork with finance, program management and engineering functional managers todrive adoption of new staffing management tools and lead development of aportfolio wide staffing process, meeting cadence, and communicationexpectationPartner with IT and other stakeholders to develop strategic action plans tomeaningfully remove barriers to execution.Partner with engineering functional leaders and HR to develop first linemanager performance and behavioral standards and trainingInitiative teams will be supported by cross functional engineering managementteam members ensuring broad representation of across engineeringThis role may also lead/support formal process document development andupdates as assignedStrong communication and presentation skills and the ability to successfullybring together diverse teams made up of multiple engineering disciplines,IT, and HR will be critical in this role.What we look for in a Leader:Maxar Leaders demonstrate the following key leadership qualities at alltimes: Honesty, Integrity, Loyalty, Curiosity, and Courage.
