Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Drone Program Intern to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a wide variety of construction engineering on challenging construction projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of drone flights for data collection, including pre-flight checks, operational support, and post-flight debriefs.

  • Support the analysis of aerial data collected by data for various applications including for inspection and environmental monitoring.

  • Contribute to the maintenance and technical support of drone equipment and software tools.

  • Participate in research and development activities related to new drone technologies and applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project planning, execution, and reporting.

  • Help ensure compliance with all relevant regulations regarding drone operations.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Enrolled in engineering, geospatial sciences, unmanned aircraft, computer science, or related curriculum at a college or university and have completed at least one year of studies in a major technological discipline (e.g., computer science, engineering technology, etc.).

  • Ability to read and understand Parsons policies (e.g. Safety, Quality Control, etc.).

  • Ability to prepare clear and concise oral and written communications.

  • Willingness to travel and/or relocate to project site locations is expected.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Previous related experience with drone technology and a current FAA Part 107 certificate is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Windows Office Systems; particularly in Excel, Word, SharePoint and Outlook is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, and other software packages typically associated with engineering analysis is preferred.

  • Ability to work within a dynamic team environment.

  • Ability to work independently and provide recommendations based on findings.

Salary Range:

$21.44 - $37.55
