What You Will Do As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in analyzing and optimizing pricing strategies and evaluating the impact of process changes for our subscription products. You will be responsible for leveraging data to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions and enhance our subscription offerings. This role is ideal for a data scientist with some professional experience who is looking to make a significant impact on subscription-based product strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decisions that enhance customer value and company profitability.
Pricing Strategy:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine pricing strategies for new and existing subscription products.
Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify pricing sensitivities, elasticity, and customer segmentation.
Build predictive models to forecast demand, revenue, and customer churn under different pricing scenarios.
Develop and implement A/B testing frameworks to evaluate the impact of pricing changes on key metrics.
Process Optimization:
Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Develop data-driven recommendations to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Implement data-driven solutions to automate tasks and reduce manual effort.
Monitor and measure the impact of process changes on key performance indicators.
Data Analysis and Modeling:
Clean, preprocess, and transform large and complex datasets.
Employ advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract meaningful insights.
Develop and validate predictive models to forecast future trends and make data-driven decisions.
Visualize data effectively to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in subscription-based pricing and analytics.
Create, maintain, and improve dashboards and visualizations using Domo and other BI tools to report on historical data and track real-time discounts, promos, strategic decisions and pricing performance.
Develop a keen understanding of business operations to identify opportunities for in-depth analysis and areas for improvement.
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
4+ years of professional experience in data science or a related field.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
Comfortable working in dynamic and undefined environments, proactively identifying opportunities to support business goals and suggesting valuable initiatives to drive success.
Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., DOMO, Power BI )
Solid understanding of statistical concepts, machine learning, and predictive modeling and their application in business contexts
Experience working with large datasets and data manipulation tools (e.g., SQL).
Excellent attention to detail.
Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and causal inference
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights
Proven ability to translate business questions into technical analyses and communicate results clearly and effectively across the organization.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
