Robert Half Staff Accountant in Westlake Village, California
Description
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Westlake Village, California. The selected candidate will be instrumental in supporting the month-end close process and resolving billing discrepancies. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Handle day-to-day postings to the account with precision
• Carry out regular reconciliations to the General Ledger (G/L)
• Monitor account transactions through SAP to ensure accuracy
• Record Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions and update records accordingly
• Create invoices in alignment with company policies and procedures
• Support the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries
• Resolve any billing discrepancies that may arise in a timely manner
• Use Excel formulas for various accounting functions
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Bank Reconciliations efficiently
Requirements • Possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.
• Demonstrated experience in performing Bank Reconciliations.
• Proficient in maintaining General Ledger.
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries.
• Experience in Month End Close processes.
• Proficiency in SAP software for financial management and operations.
• Strong skills in Excel Formulas for financial calculations and data analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Detail-oriented and ability to work with high levels of accuracy.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new accounting practices and techniques.
