Fin Analyst - Fin Bus Support - Loan Reporting

Job Description:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of required reporting, remitting, and reconciliation for the GSE (FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA) portfolios based their specific guidelines.

The Analyst's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensures Daily and Monthly reporting to GSE entities are completed accurately and within required timelines

• Ensures remittance funds to GSE entities are completed accurately and within required timelines

• Performs Monthly GSE Required Reconciliations

• Adheres to all Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae and other investor guidelines

• Researches and resolves Test of Expected and/or Bank Reconciliation cash discrepancies as required

• Researches and resolves reporting exceptions at root cause level and work with upstream business partners for full resolution as required

• Answers inquiries from various departments, management team, as well as, GSE entities

• Gather and respond to internal and external audit requests

• Assist on special projects relating to process improvements and/or internal system enhancements.

• Performs other duties as assigned by management

*Required Skills: “Must” have these skills to be minimally qualified.

• 3 years + experience with mortgage banking environment

• Advanced application skills in Excel (vlookups, basic formulas, calculations) and SQL (script running, basic data mining)

• Ability to independently manage a high degree of responsibility

• Proactively detects, analyzes, and resolves operational issues and prevents recurrence

• Experience gathering large amounts of data, conducting analysis and presenting results/findings

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface cross functionality with other departments

• Strong organizational and time management skills necessary

• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail

• Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively in a variety of situations

Desired Skills:

• BS in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred

• Understanding of Investor Reporting principles

• Strong technical skills
