Charles Schwab Sr Manager, Software Development & Engineering Senior in Westlake, Texas

Duties : Lead a team of contractors as the Technical Lead to work on Statement Rewrite project. Lead the team in strong software development skills, peer review code, design solutions and act as a mentor to the other members of the team. Work with business and technical partners to create and support effective solutions to business problems and requests. Provides technical consultation and support CRT applications and programs. Ensure solutions are in line with the organization’s vision and architectural strategy; enforce architectural guidelines within the applications. Analyzes business requirements and designs technical solutions; creates technical specifications documenting the approach. Develops original and/or complex code; follows written technical specifications to program or reprogram computer solutions. Verifies program logic by overseeing code review, testing and debugging of programs. Assists in production deployments. Develops / participates in the creation of new documentation such as architectural diagrams and user guides. Define and document the current state of various complex applications in support of building the modernized future state application architectural strategy and roadmap. Provides level 3 support to aid in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems. Driving discussions with technical, business and external technical partners. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan. A successful candidate has experience being in a technical lead role and is capable of planning, designing, building and leading next generation technology and building technology roadmaps aligning to the needs of our existing business.

Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $150,051 to $246,800 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive post-Bachelor’s experience in a related occupation.

Experience must include the following: Leading Technical Team; Testing skills and quality assurance mindset; Application development and implementation experience; Developing applications in IBM Mainframe Technologies (COBOL, JCL); DB2 experience; System Analysis experience, Cloud Experience, and Java development experience; Waterfall and Agile methodologies; Collaborating with business and technical teams to understand requirements and perform impact analysis in order to create and support effective solutions to business problems and requests; and Brokerage domain experience.
